Mother Doves Academy
Founded by a Chicago Public School Teacher, Theresa (Smith) Hickman, Mother Doves Academy had humbled beginnings with just one student in 2019. Since then, it has grown to support many families and students in the areas of math, reading, and social-emotional development.
Our mission here at Mother Doves Academy is to foster a love for learning in ALL young minds (doves). We are here to cultivate the mindsets of children 2 to 11 years of age and help them become confident and competent learners who are not afraid to fly.
- We provide quality instruction to each of our students in areas of Language Arts, Mathematics, Social-Emotional Learning, and Character Development.
- We promote an environment of mutual respect, safety, and appreciation of diversity.
- We believe ALL students can achieve whatever they set their thoughts and hearts to once given the opportunity.
- We encourage students to see failures as opportunities to learn, and, here at Mother Doves Academy, we provide those opportunities for children to be whom they dream to be.
